Secondary Education Graduation Garments

In the UK, OFSTED have shown that they will award points to schools and academies that hold graduation ceremonies for their students. The reasoning for this is well proven; providing a platform to recognise achievement helps to incentivise learning and drive attainment. Young learners feel 10 foot tall and proud of what they have achieved as they stand on a stage in front of all of their family and friends as their attainment is acknowledged.

The promise of a graduation ceremony after completion of their GCSE study (possibly alongside a prom as a reward) is a great way of ensuring young learners develop their desire to achieve both socially and educationally. Their striving for achievement will help to ensure that all doors are left open for them should they wish to continue their educational journey after GCSE. Perhaps following further study, apprenticeships, the trades or to be entrepreneurial.
